Four years ago I was happy to be one of the B2B DOC tutors when Maksim Shved presented his brilliant idea for his debut film. Yesterday I watched the Belarus premiere and was even happier! Its about two Belarus… More state employee ladies whose work is to remove Minsk graffiti with paint - accidentally creating Malevitj suprematism-patterns - and an artist who brings huge clamped frames of canvas around town to paint copies of the ladies cover-up-art... as the (also painted) military tanks are passing by... A fun, clever and artful film where random Minsk citizens interact, discussing the meaning of art, and the meaning of freedom. Its called Pure Art and will run on cinemas here in the nearby future. An important bagatelle who follows the paint! 🙂. Volia Chajkouskaya
