Serra Ciliv is a UKCP accredited trainee psychotherapist and a facilitator. After spending more than 20 years as an organiser and the director of !f istanbul Independent Film Festival, she now sees her work as a facilitator and therapist as a process-oriented and trauma-informed extension of her experience in the cultural field: creating safe spaces for all the voices in the field -even if they are difficult and ridden with conflict- so that they can find their most free and creative expression within individuals, teams, and communities.
Her focus in her studies and work has been on forms of belonging and resistance; individual, intergenerational and collective trauma; minority cultures; feminist and nature based views of relating; experiences of displacement, and creative forms of resilience in dire times.
