As we all know, filmmakers are also usually required to write in order to finance one’s film, a task that many consider to be a producer’s job. However, while that is true to some extent, no producer can write a funding application without a clear vision from the director. The writing always starts with the director, who then continues to hold, transform and amend her/his vision throughout the entire filmmaking process. And here is where writing for film - solely a director’s task - goes hand in hand with writing applications.
The B2B Doc online writing workshop is created to equip directors with the necessary skills as well as the mind-set to clearly be able to communicate their ideas on paper. An ongoing process that should make the job of producer easier and more effective.
These are the projects selected to participate in the workshop:
9-Month Contract, Ketevan Vashagashvili, Georgia
Ever Since I Knew Myself, Maka Gogaladze, Georgia
Flowers from Ukraine, Adelina Borets, Ukraine
From my Window I see Mountains, Snezhana Husarevych, Ukraine
Hagitat, Afag Yusifli, Azerbaijan
Keepers of Heritage, Irina Gelashvili & Keti Machavariani, Georgia
Mythologemes of Ales Rodin, Alena Veras, Belarus
Ukraine's Western Front, Svitlana Shapoval, Ukraine
Ultimate Weapon, Dragoș Turea, Moldova

The workshops takes place throughout the month of October. At the end of the workshop, the participants will have produced a full film treatment that works as a blueprint for future filming or post-production, that can equally be used as solid basis for funding applications.
